NEW RED DWARF EPISODE ANNOUCED AUGUST 24TH 2008

At the KTCS9 20th Anniversary evening tonight, Robert announced to a small crowd that a brand new, 1 hour Red Dwarf episode had been commissioned by BBC Worldwide, to be filmed in October 2008.

He wouldn't spoil the storyline, but did mention that the script is being finalised right now.

I was in the audience, it was a good night, with not too many people, and plenty of chances for questions.

It was recorded by KTCS9 for a future DVD.

YES!! i've been waiting for this for so long, well for as long as i have been a fan but that is long enough!this has really completed a perfect day for me, my only worry is that i will drive my family insane talking about it forever. i think i've already scared my sisters out of there wits, calling out 'YES!!' while it was so quiet. i just hope i can stay sane long enough to wait for it to arrive. oh well, i've got Robert's book about scrapheap challenge, just got it today. hopefully it will keep me sane for long enough.

Can't wait to see it or hear more news about it.

i would be sceptical until i hear an annoucement either from grant/naylor via the red dwarf web site or the bbc . last year it was annouced at the red dwarf comvention dimsension jump the bbc wanted nothing more to do with red dwarf . i know bbc worldwinde is a different arm of the corporation and i am not suggesting steve or robert got it wrong but plans can and do change .

i checked out the offical red dwarf web site . they are dropping hints but no offcial annoucment has been made yet . on the message board andrew ellard just said no comment with a smiley . i do hope it is true though . i would love to see more dwarf . i wonder how they will get around robert's busy shedule and as far as i know craiog charles is still on coronation street .
